Candidates

You're in the right place if you're looking for a rewarding sales career.

New to Tech?

Let’s talk about tech. We know it, love it, and it enriches our daily lives as consumers, but how much do you know about the world of business-to-business (B2B) tech?

Let’s break it down into the three major categories we recruit for...

Software as a Service (SaaS)

So, what is SaaS? It's a modern software delivery model where applications are hosted by a vendor and made available to customers over the internet.

Instead of installing and maintaining software, you simply access it via the web, usually on a subscription basis. SaaS applications can include everything from email and customer relationship management to complex enterprise resource planning systems.

This model offers benefits like reduced IT costs, automatic updates, and easy scalability. It's particularly popular among businesses looking for flexible, cost-effective solutions that can be accessed from anywhere.

Projected global value by 2030: USD 819.23 billion.

Cybersecurity

Now let's cover cybersecurity - it's the digital shield protecting our online world.

Cybersecurity is all about safeguarding computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, attacks, and damage. It's a crucial field that keeps our digital lives running smoothly and securely.

Cybersecurity experts use a variety of tools and techniques to detect threats, prevent breaches, and respond to incidents. From protecting sensitive information to ensuring business continuity, these digital guardians play a vital role in our increasingly connected world. Businesses must buy cybersecurity solutions as they are often handling 3rd party sensitive information.

Projected global value by 2030: USD 657.02 billion

Fintech

Focusing on the world of FinTech - where finance meets tech in a game-changing fusion.

FinTech, short for Financial Technology, is all about using cutting-edge tech to shake up and improve financial services. It's the secret sauce behind those cool mobile payment apps, robo-advisors, and even cryptocurrencies. FinTech makes managing money faster, easier, and more accessible for everyone.

From AI-powered chatbots helping you budget to blockchain-securing transactions, it's revolutionizing how businesses and consumers) bank, invest, charge, and pay.

Projected global value by 2030: USD 882.30 billion.

Now you understand more about the tech space, here's why it’s attractive to sell

It's Important

For companies in today’s world where markets are globalised and time moves at the speed of light, having that competitive edge is everything.

Company leaders know that if they buy and successfully implement the right platforms, they can leapfrog their competitors, and if they choose the wrong ones, well... you can guess the outcome there.

For this reason, it's typically bought by senior people in an organisation which means for YOU as an early careers salesperson, you could get involved in pretty interesting conversations from day dot.

It's Consultative

Companies don’t just buy tech on a whim. They research, they probe, they explore, they proof-test, so to sell it you need to understand the customer and their needs.

This makes the sales process fun, challenging, and engaging. Tech companies know the better they train and develop their sales team to be masters in the art of sales, the more revenue they will make.

For you as a salesperson, you can be confident your company is invested in your development and you are representing them on the front line.

It's Lucrative

Let’s start this with a disclaimer *You will have to work hard and smart to earn well* but assuming, you can see the simple economics with the market values we mentioned earlier on this page.

The bottom line is that, the bigger the pie, the bigger your slice. And these are multi-billion dollar pies. And they are the industries disrupting other industries, not being disrupted. Many of the candidates we place in London go on to earn up to £50,000 OTE year 1 with no specific qualifications needed for the job.

To put that in perspective a junior doctor earns £32,398 in their 1st foundational year. That’s after typically 5 years at medical school! Our New York-placed SDRs can earn up to $100,000 vs $61,341 for a junior doctor in the same state.

I've just finished 3 months in a great role at a fantastic company and I wouldn't be in this position if it weren't for Venatrix.

I'd recommend anyone looking to become an SDR to use them. They are professional, a great listener, and have helped me land the role that was right for me. Huge shout out to Venatrix!

My consultant was a huge help in my entire process of finding a new job. From start to finish, she listened to what I was looking for and helped me with my interview prep.

It is fair to say that not all recruitment companies are that attentive to their interviewer needs but Venatrix stands out and I would recommend Venatrix to anyone looking for a new opportunity in the tech industry in London!
